How do I remove a preferred dealer in Mobile Link?

Mobile Link users can remove and add a preferred dealer in Mobile Link. 

If you are on a dealer-managed Mobile Link plan or have a paid Mobile Link subscription through your dealer, you must contact the dealer directly to have them removed from your Mobile Link account. Alternatively, you can contact Generac customer support at 888-436-3722. 
 

Environment

This article applies to Mobile Link users who want to remove their preferred dealer in the Mobile Link app or website.

 

Removing a preferred dealer

 
  1. Launch the Mobile Link app and select the Dashboard option in the lower right.
  2. Click on the generator card/box.
  3. Click on the preferred dealer option, (under the settings section).
  4. Click on the blue Remove Preferred Dealer button at the bottom of the page. 

Note: If the preferred dealer tab lists no option to remove and the subscription tab lists the account holder as "dealer managed", then the prior dealer and/or Generac customer support would need to remove the user from the dealer's FLEET. Keep in mind the subscription is null and void once the Mobile Link user is removed. The user will need to sign up for a subscription before adding the new dealer.
