Finding the manufacturing date

There are two ways to find the manufacturing date for serialized Generac products.

Note: While this article is intended to guide owners on how to find the manufacturing date for most current Generac products, it is not exhaustive. With a wide range of products and a long manufacturing history, not all Generac products have the manufacturing date listed in the same way.

Environment

This article applies to a majority of serialized Generac products, excluding commercial and industrial generators.

Reference the data tag

Depending on the product and the year it was made, the manufacturing date may be printed on the product's data tag, which is most cases is a sticker that also contains the product's model number and serial number.
