XG Series

Generac’s new XG Series liquid‑cooled standby generators are designed for upscale residential and light commercial applications, delivering 32 kW, 40 kW, and 48 kW models with advanced power quality, flexibility, and connectivity.

  • Power Range: 32 kW, 40 kW, and 48 kW (running watts), all powered by Generac’s proprietary 4.5 L liquid‑cooled engine operating at an efficient 1800 RPM.
  • Fuel Flexibility: Controller‑selectable to run on natural gas or LP, simplifying installation and field conversion.
  • Voltage Options: Available in single‑phase (120/240 V) or configurable 3‑phase (120/208, 240/120, 480/277 V) models via removable Voltage Configuration Cartridge (VCC).
  • Power Quality: TruePower™ technology with solid‑state, frequency‑compensated voltage regulation for <5 % THD and ±1 % voltage stability, suitable for sensitive electronics.
  • Quiet‑Test™ Self‑Test Mode: Programmable weekly, bi‑weekly, or monthly low‑speed exercise cycle for quiet, fuel‑efficient monitoring.
  • Mobile Link™ Cellular Connectivity: Standard on all XG units for remote status monitoring via smartphone or PC, with dealer Fleet support. 
  • Enclosure & Durability: Sound‑attenuated aluminum housing, electro‑galvanized steel frame, stainless exhaust, rated for 145 mph winds; single‑side maintenance access. 
  • Ease of Maintenance: Padlockable UV‑protected control panel, built‑in battery charger, iso‑governor, closed coolant recovery system.
  • Engine & Testing: Generac‑designed 4.5 L inline 4‑cylinder engine with hydraulic lifters; prototype tested to NEMA/CSA standards; high‑surge motor‑starting capability.
