Requesting service for a home standby generator

Use Generac's service request form to request maintenance or repair for a home standby generator. After the request is submitted, Generac will notify a local service provider to assist with the request.

Before you start

Have the generator's serial number available. The form also asks for the service location, the type of service needed, a description of the request, and contact information.

Note: If the service request is urgent, contact a dealer directly using the dealer locator.

Submitting a service request

1. Open the Request Service for your Standby Generator page.
2. Enter the generator's serial number, then click Get Started. If the serial number cannot be located, see Where Can I Find the Serial Number on My Air or Liquid-Cooled Standby Generator?.
3. Enter the required contact and service location information.
4. Select the Type of service needed and enter a description of the service request.
5. Enter a phone number and email address, then select the Preferred contact method and Preferred contact time.
6. Provide consent to share the information with a Generac Certified Service Dealer, then submit the request.

What happens next

Generac will notify a local service provider about the submitted request. Make sure the contact information entered on the form is accurate so the provider can contact you about the requested service.
