Environment

In many cases, several people, including spouses, close friends, or property caretakers, may need to stay informed about the maintenance and operation of a home standby generator. Mobile Link users can add additional email addresses and phone numbers to their Mobile Link account so those contacts can receive notifications.

Note: Email addresses and phone numbers are added from the same Additional Contacts section. Added phone numbers can receive text messages for generator status changes and other Mobile Link notifications.

Adding an email or phone contact using the Mobile Link website

Note: Images may not be the most up to date and may not be 100% accurate. Screen color, layout, and menu labels may vary slightly.
1. Open a web browser, navigate to and log in to the Mobile Link website.

2. Click the generator owner’s name, which is followed by an mceclip0.png icon in the top right corner, then click Account Settings.

3. The Account Settings screen will appear. Select Notifications from the Account Information menu.

4. The Notifications panel will appear. Scroll down, if necessary, and select the mceclip0.png icon beside the desired home standby generator or tank to expand the menu item.

5. From the Additional Contacts menu that expands, click + ADD EMAIL to add an email address. To add a phone number for text messages, click + ADD PHONE NUMBER.

6. Enter the email address or phone number for the additional contact, then click Save.

7. The additional contact has been successfully added. Added email addresses can receive Mobile Link email notifications. Added phone numbers can receive text messages for generator status changes and other Mobile Link notifications.
 
Note: All notifications for generators on the account will be sent to all email addresses or phone numbers on the account. For text alerts, once a phone number is added, that phone number will receive a welcome text message.

1. Launch the Mobile Link app on your phone.

2. Go to the Account tab.

3. Tap Notifications.

4. Swipe down to the Additional Contacts section.

5. Tap Add email to add an email address. To add a phone number for text messages, tap Add phone number.

6. Enter the email address or phone number for the additional contact, then tap Save.

7. The additional contact has been successfully added. Added email addresses can receive Mobile Link email notifications. Added phone numbers can receive text messages for generator status changes and other Mobile Link notifications.
