A homeowner may encounter a need to update or modify a Generator's name and/or address information. To make this easy for a homeowner to perform, it is possible to update this information using the Mobile Link website.

Note: Please note if a generator is dealer-managed, homeowners may consider consulting their dealer before making changes to the generator name as some dealers use this information for customer identification purposes.

How to edit a generator's name and address using the web app:

1. Open a web browser, navigate to and log in to the Mobile Link website.

2. Click on the tile that contains the picture of the generator to be updated

3. Click on the

Icon near the generator name

4. The Edit Information window appears. Update the Name or provide new Address information.

Note: As address information is entered, Suggested address information should automatically appear. Select the suggested address information that matches the generator address. If a suggested address does not match, select the I don't see my address option to manually enter the address information.

5. Click Update.

Note: Generator Name and Address are required fields and may not be left blank. If an attempt is made to save an update with either field left blank, users will be advised that the update has failed.

How to edit a generator's name and address using the iOS or Android app:

1. Launch the Mobile Link app.

2. Select the generator's tile from the Dashboard menu.

3. Swipe down to the Generator details section.

4. Tap the Generator name option to edit the generator name. Tap Save after entering the desired name.

5. Tap Location to edit the location. Tap Edit Address.

6. Search the desired address and select if from the list. Confirm the address details, then tap Save.

If your address is not listed, select I can't find my address from the results dropdown and enter the address details, then tap Save.
