Nexus controller menu map

Environment

This article applies to Generac air-cooled home standby generators manufactured from 2010 through 2013 that use a Nexus controller. Generators manufactured before 2010 generally use a pre-Nexus controller. Controller type can vary by model and production date. Menu system navigation

To access the menu, press the ESC key from any screen. You may need to press ESC several times to reach the menu page. The currently selected menu flashes on the display.

Use the + and - keys to navigate to the required menu. When the required menu flashes, press ENTER. Some menus display a list of choices. Use the same navigation method to select the desired screen. Refer to the menu system diagram above.

Changing settings in the edit menu

To change a setting, such as the display contrast, navigate to the EDIT menu. Use the + and - keys to locate the setting. When the setting appears, such as Contrast, press ENTER to enter edit mode.

Use the + and - keys to change the setting, then press ENTER to save it.

Note: If the ENTER key is not pressed to save the new setting, the change is only saved temporarily. The setting will return to its previous value the next time the battery is disconnected.
