When can I charge my EV using my Level 2 Plus?

Users can start charging their electric vehicles with their Level 2 Plus charger once it is installed, powered on, and the LED halo shows a steady green light. The charging process starts automatically when connecting the EV connector/charging cable to their vehicle's charge port/input. However, if the charger is locked or a charging session is scheduled using the Generac EV Charging app, the charging process will not start until the user unlocks the charger or cancels the scheduled session.

When can I charge my EV using my Level 2 Plus?

You can start using your Level 2 Plus when your charger is installed and powered on (and the LED halo is a steady green).

Attach the EV connector/charging cable to your vehicle’s charge port/input. Connecting your charger will automatically initiate the charging process.

If you are using the Generac EV Charging app and have either locked your charger or have a charging session scheduled, the charging process will not start until you use the Generac EV Charging app to unlock your charger or until the scheduled charging time.

You must delete the scheduled charging session from the Generac EV Charging app to charge your EV. Don’t worry, you can always add it back later!
