Generac residential air‑cooled home standby generators are assembled in the United States at Generac facilities, using a mix of domestic and globally sourced components.

Portable generators

Portable generator final assembly occurs in both the U.S. and internationally, depending on the model. These units also use components sourced from both U.S. and global suppliers.

Engine manufacturing

Generac uses two primary engine families in residential products:

• OHVI / G-FORCE – Designed for generator duty and manufactured by Generac in the United States.
• OHV – Generac-designed overhead‑valve engines used primarily on portable generators and assembled overseas; most current production is manufactured in Vietnam.
