Due to safety concerns, Mobile Link does not allow the owner to change the state of a generator (OFF, MANUAL, AUTO). These actions must be done at the generator's control panel to ensure there is no specific cause for the current state of the generator.

For example, a generator may be set to OFF for maintenance or repair purposes. In this scenario, remotely setting the generator to AUTO or MANUAL could cause damage to the Generator or potential injury to a service technician.

The Mobile Link mobile app does provide an option to exercise the generator remotely for paid subscribers with a compatible controller: Using the "Exercise Now" command in Mobile Link
 

Note: The Exercise Now function only works when the generator is set to AUTO mode.
