Generator Emissions Qualifications

49ST - The 49-State rated units can be used in all US States, except for California, as it does not meet the emissions requirements for California. These units cannot be used outside of the US.

CSA - The CSA-rated units can be used in Canada and can be used in all US States except California, as it does not meet California's emissions requirements.

CARB/50ST - The CARB/50St-rated units can be used in all 50 US States, including California. These units are not approved for use in Canada unless they also bear the CSA rating; only CSA-rated units are approved for use in Canada.
