Troubleshooting Low Fuel Pressure

  • If the pressure is too high, the solenoid will not open and the generator will not start.
  • If the pressure is too low, the generator will be starved for fuel and will not start or will not run smoothly or be able to support a load.

Common Causes

In most cases, a dealer or installer will need to address these issues: Where Can I Find a Generac Dealer in the U.S. Or Canada?

Proper fuel flow is critical for generator operation under full load. Incorrect fuel pressure, undersized lines, or improper fuel conversions are not covered under warranty.
