Where can I purchase Generac generator accessories?

Accessories can be purchased by visiting www.generac.com or contacting your local Generac dealer.

How do I find part numbers for compatible Generac accessories for my generator's specific model?

Refer to your owner's manual and specification sheet to find part numbers and verify accessory compatibility. Product documentation, including owner's manuals and specifications sheets, is available at the following link with your generator's serial number.

Do I need my serial number/model number?

Yes, some accessories vary by model and are only compatible with specific units. Using your serial/model number, you can find the correct documentation with the appropriate accessory part number. Your serial/model number is required to identify the correct parts and verify compatibility. See: Where Can I Find the Serial Number on My Air or Liquid-Cooled Standby Generator?

Note: For items requiring wiring for installation (e.g., manual transfer switch, power inlet box, Generac Load managers, etc.), consult your local Generac Independent Authorized Service Dealer or qualified professional and follow local and state codes and regulations.

Portable Generator Accessories

Maintenance Kits

  • Schedule maintenance is a necessity for all portable generators. The portable maintenance kits offer all the components necessary to perform complete maintenance on Generac portable generators. Oil will need to be purchased separately based on the recommendations listed. Maintenance is recommended seasonally but may differ per model. More frequent service is required when operating in adverse conditions. Refer to the generator owner's manual for more information.
  • Items included (if applicable).
    • Air filter, oil filter, spark plug(s), oil funnel, chamois, Stabil sample, spark plug wrench.

Note: Contents of each maintenance kit vary by model. Check your user manual to verify which maintenance kit you should buy, or reach out to your local service dealer.

Manual Transfer Switch

  • Manual Transfer Switches allow you to connect your portable generator to hardwired appliances. Ensure essential items like your furnace, sump pump, or lights are backed up by your portable generator during an outage.

Power Inlet Boxes

  • Power Inlet Boxes (PIB) allow owners to safely connect their portable generator to a manual transfer switch. When the power goes out, they simply plug one end of a power cord into their generator and the other into the PIB.

Generator Plugs and Connectors

Cords

  • Heavy duty generator extension codes with multiple connection ports for generators with 20 and 30 Amp outlets.
  • Generator cords for manual transfer switch/ power inlet box connections.

Optional Accessories

Air-cooled home standby generator accessories

26R Wet Cell Battery

  • Every standby generator requires a battery to start the system. Generac offers the recommended 26R wet-cell battery for use with all air-cooled standby products (excluding PowerPact).

35AGM Battery

  • This battery is an alternative recommendation to the standard 26R. This is a maintenance free style battery

Cold Weather Accessories

  • Battery Pad Warmer
    • The pad warmer rests under the battery. It is recommended for use if the temperature regularly falls below 0°F (-18°C). (It is not necessary for use with AGM-style batteries).
  • Breather Warmer
    • The breather warmer is for use in extreme cold weather applications. This is for use with Evolution controllers only in climates where heavy icing occurs.
  • Oil warmer
    • The oil warmer slips directly over the oil filter. It is recommended for use if the temperature regularly falls before 0°F (-18°C). (It is not necessary for use with AGM-style batteries).
  • See the following article on cold weather accessories for more detailed information on components and compatibility.

Auxiliary Transfer Switch Contact Kit

  • The auxiliary transfer switch contact kit allows the transfer switch to lock out a single large electrical load you may not need. It is not compatible with 50 amp pre-wired switches.

Fascia Base Wrap Kit

  • The fascia base wrap snaps together around the bottom of the new air-cooled generators. It offers a sleek, contoured appearance and helps protect against rodents and insects by covering the lifting holes in the base.

Touch-up Paint Kit

  • If the generator enclosure is scratched or damaged, it is important to touch up the paint to protect it from future corrosion. The touch-up paint kit includes the necessary paint to correctly maintain or touch up a generator enclosure.

Schedule maintenance Kit

  • Generac's scheduled maintenance kits provide all the items necessary to perform complete routine maintenance on a Generac automatic standby generator (oil not included).

Propane Monitoring Accessory

  • The cellular-enabled LP fuel level monitor provides constant monitoring of the connected LP fuel tank. Monitoring the LP tank's fuel level is an important step in verifying the generator is ready to run during an unexpected power failure. Status alerts are available through the Mobile Link application to notify users when the LP tank is in need of a refill.

Mobile Link accessories

Discontinued Notice: The Wi-Fi/Ethernet and 4G/LTE aftermarket accessories have been discontinued. Upgrading to the Connectivity Cellular Accessory is recommended for users who wish to add connectivity to their generator or users experiencing ongoing connectivity issues. It is compatible with more generators and uses multiple carrier networks to offer greater coverage. Basic (free) and Premium cellular plans are available for users of this device. See here to upgrade: Connectivity Cellular Accessory.

Note: Mobile Link accessories are not available with the PowerPact Series. See the following article for Mobile Link accessory compatibility: Which generator controllers are compatible with Wi-Fi or LTE cellular Mobile Link connectivity devices?
