Generator says it is already activated

A generator owner or service dealer attempting to activate the generator reports that a newly installed generator is already registered to another owner.

Environment

This issue will occur on home standby generators during the activation process.

Resolution

The generator owner or service dealer should gather all documentation showing proof of purchase and proof of address and submit this information to Generac customer support.
