Note: This article only offers a summary overview of commonly requested details regarding generator warranties and is not exhaustive or guaranteed to be completely accurate and up to date. In the event of any differences between the summary below and the warranty terms and conditions, the terms and conditions control.

Mobile Link Device Warranty

Aftermarket Mobile Link devices (Wi-Fi/Ethernet, 4G/LTE, and Cellular Connectivity Device) have a standard 1-year limited warranty. Onboard devices installed from the factory have a parts warranty that begins on the date of generator activation. This article is offered as a general summary of the warranty but is not a substitute for the official warranty statement. See the product document lookup page on Generac.com for the official warranty statement.

Environment

This article applies to both aftermarket and onboard Mobile Link devices. For more information, see: Mobile Link Wi-Fi, Cellular, and LTE device compatibility guide

Onboard Mobile Link devices

Factory-installed Mobile Link devices are considered a part, and their warranty begins on the date of the generator's activation. See: What Does My Home Standby Generator Warranty Cover?

Aftermarket Mobile Link devices

Mobile Link aftermarket devices are accessories that can be purchased and retrofitted to compatible generators. Examples include the 4G/LTE, Wi-Fi Ethernet, and Connectivity Cellular Accessory. The warranty for these devices begins on the date of purchase (not the date of installation).
