Troubleshooting weak Wi-Fi signal strength

If a generator is experiencing weak signal strength on your device, there are several things that can be attempted to improve it:

1. Move the Wi-Fi router closer to the generator: If possible, move your router to a location that is closer to the generator. The closer the router is to the generator, the stronger the signal will be.

2. Check for interference: Other electronic devices or appliances, such as microwave ovens, cordless phones, or even other Wi-Fi routers, can interfere with the signal. Try moving these devices away from the router or your device.

3. Check for obstructions: Walls, furniture, and other objects can block the signal. Try moving your router to a different location or removing any obstructions.

4. Reset the router: Sometimes simply resetting the router can improve signal strength.

5. Upgrade the router: If a router is old or outdated, upgrading to a newer model may improve signal strength.

6. Use a Wi-Fi range extender: A range extender can help to boost signal strength by extending the range of the Wi-Fi network.

7. Contact the service provider: If all other attempts have failed, contact the internet service provider to see if there are any other solutions or upgrades that they can provide.

Range Extenders

Any model Wi-Fi router, extender, or repeater that supports communications in the 2.4 Ghz frequency range meeting wireless protocol specs of 802.11b, g, or n. The router or repeater can be compatible with additional standards, but it must include b, g, or n to work with a Mobile Link device.
.
These specific models have been proven in the field to be compatible with WI-Fi Extenders (Repeaters)

If selecting a range extender that is not listed above please see the Mobile Link compatibility article for detailed compatibility information: Is My Wi-Fi Network Compatible With Mobile Link?
