Safely Shutting Off a Pressure Washer

 
1. Turn the engine switch to OFF.

2. Turn the water supply OFF.
3. Point the spray gun in a safe direction and squeeze the trigger to release high-pressure water from the system.
4. Disconnect the hoses and drain water from the hoses, spray gun, and lance. Do NOT store equipment with the high-pressure hose connected to the pump and gun.
5. With the engine kill switch off, pull the recoil several times to expel the remaining water from the pump.
