Mobile Link monitoring costs

Homeowners can monitor their home standby generators using the Mobile Link for Generators app or web portal. While a Mobile Link account is not required for generator operation, subscribing to a Premium monitoring plan allows for advanced features, including remote access, alerts, and performance tracking.

*If I enroll via the web, can I still monitor in the app?

Yes! Whether you enroll via the web (app.mobilelinkgen.com) or enroll in the app store, you will still be able to monitor in the Mobile Link app. The only difference between web and app enrollment is the billing process.

Connectivity requirements

Before purchasing a subscription, homeowners should confirm they have reliable Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity at the generator location.

• Wi-Fi requirements: A dedicated 2.4 GHz network with support for 802.11 b/g/n protocols is required. See: Is My Wi-Fi Network Compatible With Mobile Link?
• Cellular: For areas with weak or no Wi-Fi signal, a cellular-enabled device may be required.

Discontinued Notice: The 4G/LTE and Wi-Fi/Ethernet aftermarket accessories have been discontinued. Upgrading to the Connectivity Cellular Accessory is recommended for users who wish to add connectivity to their generator or users experiencing ongoing connectivity issues. It is compatible with more generators and uses multiple carrier networks to offer greater coverage. Basic (free) and Premium cellular plans are available for users of this device. Device compatibility & costs

While newer generators (typically 2018 and later) include onboard Wi-Fi, others may require additional devices to enable Mobile Link monitoring.
