Dealer-managed plans in Mobile Link

A dealer-managed plan allows your service dealer to monitor and perform remote service for your generator. These plans typically include a service and maintenance contract, connectivity via Wi-Fi or cellular, professional monitoring, remote diagnostics and troubleshooting, liquid propane fuel monitoring, and automatic email and text alerts sent to your dealer.

When a Mobile Link account is managed by a dealer, the Preferred Dealer is automatically set and cannot be manually removed.

Why choose a dealer-managed plan?

• Dealers can remotely monitor and manage your generator.
  • Depending on the generators controller they also have the ability to clear faults, warnings and utilize exercise now commands to preemptively keep your generator running as it should (for example testing the unit before a big storm).
• They can oversee multiple units under their care beyond the device limits for non dealer-managed plans.
• Some dealers may keep their FLEET open on larger TVs or screens to keep an eye on their units
  • You will need to consult your dealer to see if this is something they do
• Maintenance contracts are typically offered with the plan.
• Provides added peace of mind through professional oversight.

What do dealer managed plans cost? 

Cost for dealer managed subscriptions can vary depending on what all the dealer is including.  Some dealers may include/bundle this with your maintenance contract with the generator whereas others may keep it a separate cost.  We recommend consulting the local dealer you intend to work with to determine what they charge and what is included to obtain accurate information pricing and what's included. 

 

Will my existing subscription automatically cancel?

No, existing subscriptions will not cancel automatically. If your account is transitioning to a dealer-managed plan, you will need to manually cancel your current Mobile Link subscription. You may see a message that says:

"Your account needs attention. This generator is being managed by a dealer. Please cancel your plan before the renewal date."
