Does my home standby come with a battery?

Standby units do not come with a battery. For many generators, a standard car battery you can get at your auto parts store will be compatible. For specific battery size information, check the generator's User Manual or check the Battery Type Section of your generator's product overview on the Online Product Lookup tool, or reference this article: What Battery Do I Need for My Home Standby Generator?

Note: Most portable generators do come with a rechargeable battery. Liquid-cooled RG100, RG130, and RG150 models come with a battery.
