Viewing maintenance history using the generator control panel

This article explains how to view maintenance history using the controller, which may vary depending on the generator's controller model. It is written for Generac owners with Evo 2 controllers. These steps will vary depending on the controller your generator uses. If your generator is enrolled in Mobile Link, you can also log and view maintenance history in the Mobile Link app: Viewing maintenance history in the Mobile Link app
 

Environment

This article is intended for Generac home standby generators with Evolution 2.0 and Power Zone 410 controllers.

Next Generation series generators with a Power Zone 200 controller will have maintenance history logged in the Field Pro and/or Mobile Link applications.

Note: The Power Zone 410 is also featured on industrial generators, however this article is not applicable to Generac Industrial products (often 3 phase). For support with your industrial generator, please reach out to Generac's Industrial Support team.

Evolution 2.0 controller steps

Controller menu navigation is performed using the up and down arrow keys on the controller. When an option is selected it will flash on the screen. Pressing ENTER on the controller enters into that option's sub-menus or configuration menu.
 

1. Using the arrow buttons, select and press ENTER on the SUB MENUS option (lower right). 
2. Navigate to MAINT and press ENTER. 
3. Navigate to Maint. Log and press ENTER.

Viewing maintenance history on a generator with a Power Zone 200 controller

Next Generation series generators with a Power Zone 200 controller will have maintenance history logged in the Field Pro and/or Mobile Link applications.
 

Viewing maintenance history on the Power Zone 410 controller

The Power Zone 410 controller stores a list of maintenance events that can be viewed directly from the control panel. Maintenance history is accessed through the Info Screen under the Maintenance Log sub-page.

Follow these steps on a Power Zone 410-equipped generator:

  1. From the Home screen, press the navigation arrows to move to the Info screen (icon with an “i”).
  2. Press ENTER to open the Info menu.
  3. Use the navigation arrows to highlight Maintenance Log and press ENTER.
    The Maintenance Log displays a chronological list of maintenance occurrences organized by date and time. If no maintenance has been recorded, the controller will display No Log To Display.
  4. Use the navigation arrows to scroll through logged maintenance events.

The Maintenance Log on the Power Zone 410 is view-only; entries cannot be edited or cleared from the controller.
