What is Smart Exercise? Smart Exercise is a feature available on select Next Gen Air-Cooled Generac generators with the PowerZone 200 controller. Unlike traditional fixed-schedule exercise modes, Smart Exercise is a feature which monitors generators last-time-ran. The generator will skip the next scheduled exercise if the generator ran for at least 5 consecutive minutes within the 72 hours prior to a scheduled exercise. This helps reduce unnecessary runtime and fuel consumption while ensuring the generator remains ready for operation. Why use Smart Exercise? Reduces fuel usage by minimizing unnecessary exercise runs.Extends engine life by limiting runtime to only when beneficial for engine health.Ensures testing is based on actual operating history rather than arbitrary time intervals. How to enable Smart Exercise Login to the Mobile Link app on your smartphone or tablet.Tap the generator card (tap the arrow > next to the generator name).Select the "Exercise Settings" option from the menu.Tap "Exercise Schedule".Toggle Smart Exercise to On. Note: If Smart Exercise is turned off, you can manually set a weekly exercise schedule instead.
