Power management modules (obsolete)

The Power Management Modules (PMMs) is a 50A, 24VAC rated contactor. Through the use of PMMs, up to 4 large electrical loads can be managed when used in conjunction with some 100-800A, single-phase switches utilizing an Overload Prevention Control Board (OPCB). This allowed for the use of a smaller, more affordable generator system. In order for the PMMs to function, a 24VAC transformer was required. The transformer was available in a PMM Starter Kit. 

Once installed, control wires from the OPCB to the PMM would be installed. The PMM would then interrupt the power wires between the load being managed and the load's supply (breaker). When the OPCB detected an overload it would signal the PMM to disable the load. 

 

• A Starter Kit (discontinued) was required when using RTSR or RTSY transfer switches.
• Synergy products required PMMs exclusively for managing loads. SMMs and DLMs were not compatible.
