Some users have reported that their Mobile Link device does not function and only the power light (A) remains illuminated.

Environment

This issue most often occurs after installing a Mobile Link 4G LTE device to a home standby generator.

Cause

If the power light is the only light on, this could indicate a device failure or a non-compatible generator, especially if the issue is occurring shortly after installing a new Mobile Link device to the generator.

Resolution

The generator must be verified to be compatible with the Mobile Link device. This can be done by referencing the What Are the Current Mobile Link Accessory Devices and Which Generators are They Compatible With? article.

If the Mobile Link device is compatible, a hard reset can be performed by following the process in the How Do I Hard Reset A Mobile link Accessory Device When There Are Communication Issues? article.

If the Mobile Link device is compatible, but a hard reset does not resolve the issue, then the unit may be defective. Owners can reference the following articles regarding the Mobile Link device warranty and making warranty claims.
