Why does Mobile Link say that my generator is already registered?

In attempting to enroll the generator it is displaying a message that is already enrolled. There can be several different reasons for that to occur.

Mobile Link displays a message informing the user that their generator has already been registered.


Environment

This occurs when attempting to register a home standby generator for its warranty. During initial setup, the Mobile Link application provides a method to register the generator if it is a new installation.


Potential causes & troubleshooting

  • The account was deleted while it was associated with a dealer-managed subscription
  • Logging in with an email address that is not associated with account that is registered to the generator
    • If you are unsure what your login email is please contact customer support
    • If you have already verified a new email address and need the account updated contact customer support
 
Note: Mobile Link does not currently offer a multiple-user login setup. Generators can only be associated with one Mobile Link account at a time. If the Mobile Link account is registered to a significant other, you will need to log in with that email and password. Additional emails can be added to an account for receiving notifications, but these additional emails cannot be used to log into the account.
 
  • The Mobile Link account is still registered to a prior owner
    • Please contact customer support for assistance in updating the generator registration and placing a Mobile Link account into your name
