Mobile Link 5-year extended-limited warranty promotion ended December 31, 2025

This article applied to customers with eligible Guardian-series home standby generators that could be enrolled in Mobile Link. This promotion did not apply to Next Generation home standby generators.
What changed?
The Mobile Link 5-year extended-limited warranty promotion ended on December 31, 2025. After that date, the promotion was no longer available for new redemptions.
- To have been eligible, an eligible Guardian unit needed to have been activated on or before December 31, 2025 (before January 1, 2026).
- If an eligible Guardian unit was activated by that deadline, the standard redemption window still applied (for example, the normal connection and subscription window to redeem the offer).
- This promotion never applied to Next Generation home standby generators.
Note: Customers who had already redeemed the Mobile Link 5-year extended-limited warranty promotion on an eligible generator were not affected by the end date; their extended warranty remained active.
What customers needed to do before the deadline
If an eligible Guardian generator had not been activated or enrolled for the promotion, customers needed to complete these actions before December 31, 2025:
- Activate the generator (to establish the warranty start date and enable normal operation).
- Create a Mobile Link account and enroll the generator for monitoring.
- Follow the Mobile Link steps to redeem the 5-year extended-limited warranty promotion (eligibility requirements and subscription details applied). This process involved confirming you had a qualifying generator model, connecting the generator to the internet to verify connectivity at the installation site, creating a Mobile Link account, and enrolling in an initial 12-month paid Mobile Link subscription. To qualify, the generator must have been connected to the internet and subscribed within 90 days of generator activation.
What if I had a Next Generation generator?
Next Generation home standby generators were not eligible for this Mobile Link promotional extended warranty. For warranty coverage details for a specific product, customers could refer to the warranty information and product documentation available on the product lookup page.
