Mobile Link extended warranty offer
Qualifying Generac Home Standby generator owners can obtain a 5-year extended-limited warranty when they sign up for a Mobile Link account and upgrade to a paid subscription plan. See the official promotional page for terms and conditions.
This process involves connecting the generator to verify connectivity at the installation site, creating a Mobile Link account, and subscribing to a paid Mobile Link plan.
Access the Mobile Link application
Connect the generator to 4G LTE or Wi-Fi
- 4G LTE devices will connect automatically when powered on. Move on to the next step to enroll the generator.
- For Wi-Fi, see the How do I connect my generator to a home Wi-Fi network? article. Once connected, use the free Wi-Fi subscription plan to verify that the generator has a reliable connection to the home network.
Enroll the generator in Mobile Link
After confirming the site has a reliable signal for Wi-Fi or 4G LTE, sign up for a Mobile Link account and enroll a qualifying generator using the How Do I Set up a Mobile Link Account? article.
Subscribe to a Mobile Link plan
Upgrade the Mobile Link account to a paid annual subscription as shown in the How Do I Upgrade From a Free to a Paid Subscription? article.
Once completed, a confirmation email will be sent notifying the owner that the new warranty has been applied.

Timeline
Once qualifications have been met within 90 days of activation, it can take approximately 6–8 weeks for the warranty to be applied to your generator serial number and updated within your Mobile Link account. In your warranty tab within Mobile Link, there is a timestamp for when your warranty was last checked. Mobile Link checks that data every 7 days.
