Home Standby generator owners can monitor their generators using the Mobile Link browser or Mobile App.

After signing up, both the web browser and the mobile app can be used to access your user account. You do not need to sign up separately for the Mobile app and Website.

A Mobile Link account is not required for the generator to operate.

Homeowners should always verify they have a reliable Wi-Fi or 4G LTE connection at the generator before subscribing to a Mobile Link plan.

Note: If working with a Generac service dealer, there is potential to enroll in a dealer-managed plan. Environment
This article applies to end users that want to sign up for a Mobile Link account the Mobile Link app available in the iOS or Android store. If you want to sign up using the web site instead, see: How to Set up A Mobile Link Account via the Website
Sign up for a Mobile Link account using the Mobile Link App
1. Download, Install, and open the Mobile Link App from the Google Play Store or Apple Appstore, then click Get Started.
2. The Let's get started screen will appear. Choose I purchased a Generac Product and I need to create an account.
3. Enter your Email address.
4. Click SEND VERIFICATION CODE. A verification code will be sent to the email address provided in the previous steps.
Note: This code is used to verify that the email address being provided is in fact owned and managed by the person creating the account. This step is performed to ensure the security of user information.
5. Log into the email account that was provided, an email should be delivered from the sender noreply@mobilelinkgen.com. This email will contain a 6-digit code. Write down or remember the 6-digit code, then return to the mobile Link Account creation screen.
6. Enter the 6-digit code that was retrieved from the email in the Verification Code field, then tap VERIFY CODE.
7. An Email address verified - please choose a password message will be displayed. Choose a desired password to use with the Mobile Link account and enter the password in the new password and confirm new password fields.
Note: Passwords must be a minimum of 12 characters, and contain any combination of letters, numbers, or special characters.
8. A prompt will appear requesting the user to agree to the Mobile Link End-user License Agreement, Terms and Conditions, and Privacy Statement. Check the I Agree to the... check box, then tap the NEXT button.
9. The Owner Information screen will display. Provide information for First Name, Last Name, and Phone Number, then tap the arrow in the bottom right corner of the screen.
10. Enter the Owner Address by tapping the Address Search text box.
11. Enter the street address for the owner's address in the Address search textbox. The app will automatically attempt to locate address the match the text that has been entered.
12.. Tap the address that correctly matches the owner address, from the addresses provided.
Note: If the correct address is not shown, choose the I don't see my address option for additional address entry options.
13. When finished, tap SAVE.
