Blank control panel
A completely blank controller display can be caused by a discharged battery, a blown fuse, a disconnected T1 circuit, or an unresponsive controller. Start with the quick checks below to restore the display and confirm the system is receiving power.
Environment
This applies to Generac home standby generators that feature a controller with a display.
Causes
- Battery is discharged or disconnected.
- 7.5 Amp fuse is blown
- T1 circuit is damaged or disconnected
- Controller is unresponsive and needs a reset
Resolution
The controller display is powered by the generator battery. If the display is completely blank, check the following:
