What is an OHVI engine?

OHVI stands for "Overhead Valve Industrial", this type of engine is manufactured in the United States at Generac's facilities. For more information, see this article.

How do I know if my generator has an OHVI engine?

Use the product lookup tool on Generac.com to search for your generator's serial or model number. This will provide product documentation, such as the user manual and spec sheets, which will indicate the engine type used in your generator.
