Incorrect fuel type displayed in Mobile Link

Environment

• Mobile Link app or website
• Generators connected to Mobile Link through Wi-Fi or cellular connectivity

Issue

If you're unable to select or the incorrect fuel type is displayed for your generator in Mobile Link, the fuel type shown is determined by the configuration on the generator, not by a setting in the Mobile Link app.
For generators connected through Wi-Fi or cellular, Mobile Link receives the fuel type directly from the generator's controller. The fuel type cannot be changed independently within Mobile Link.

In most cases, an incorrect fuel type is the result of the fuel selection made during generator activation or commissioning.

Resolution

If the fuel type displayed in Mobile Link appears to be incorrect:

Important: Do not remove and re-add your generator to your Mobile Link account to resolve this issue.
