Schedule B Maintenance 

Home standby generators require specific maintenance tasks to be completed at different intervals to ensure proper operation and longevity. Schedule B maintenance refers to a collection of tasks that should be performed every four years or every 400 hours of operation. Home Standby Generators are equipped with a yellow maintenance alert which will display on the control panel when the Schedule B Maintenance interval has been reached. Environment

This article applies to Generac air-cooled generators (2017 to present) during the Schedule B maintenance interval (every four years or every 400 hours of operation).

Note: The Next Generation Air-Cooled Standby generators all feature hydraulic lifters and do not require valve adjustments. Always check your generator's user manual for the most accurate and up to date maintenance information.
