Next Generation, Guardian, Response, Synergy, and Centurion Series Generators

 

• Next Generation Series - Launched in August of 2025, this is Generac's newest line of home standby generators.
• Guardian Series - The Guardian series is Generac's standard product line, it is not intended for special use cases and is not exclusively offered through different retailers like the Synergy, Response Series, and Centurion series generators.
• Response Series (Discontinued) -  The Response Series had a different EPA certification than the Guardian series and was only available to Energy Alliance Partners. Those partners would give units to customers in their area with the agreement that when the grid was under high demand the customers' utility power would be turned off and they would run on generator power. This would occur every 1-3 months for 3-5 hours at a time. The customer was responsible for the maintenance of the unit and the fuel to run it.
• Synergy Series (Discontinued) - The Synergy Series had G-Flex technology that allowed it to run at different RPMs while still producing 60 Hz to reduce fuel consumption and noise. 
• Centurion Series (Discontinued) - The Centurion units were a line that was only available through Lowe's.
