Field Pro: Manage Maintenance & Service (Step-by-Step)

This procedure walks technicians through using the Field Pro app to view maintenance schedules, log completed service, and reset maintenance counters for a Generac home standby generator.

Note: Generator owners should use the Mobile Link app to monitor and manage their generator. See: Viewing, Adding, Deleting, & Exporting Maintenance Schedule Records in Mobile Link and Viewing maintenance history in the Mobile Link app.

Environment

This article applies to:
  • Field Pro mobile app (latest version) on iOS or Android.
  • Next-Generation air-cooled home standby generators with a Power Zone 200 control panel.

Before you begin

Procedure

  1. Open the generator record in Generator Details to see a real-time snapshot of unit health.
  2. Tap Maintenance to view maintenance schedules and due/overdue items.
  3. Perform the scheduled maintenance at the unit and clear the warning in the app after work is complete.
Note: See Where Can I Find the Maintenance Schedule for My Generac Home Standby Generator? for more information about maintenance schedules and tasks.
  4. Mark the maintenance complete (clear/complete the maintenance item).
  5. Reset ongoing maintenance schedules if needed (this updates the interval counters).
  6. Verify completion in Maintenance History—the work you just performed should now appear there.
  7. Confirm next due dates—maintenance schedule dates should be reset.
  8. Review alarms and warnings from Generator Details, or scroll to Run and Alarm Logs to access them at any time.
Important: Installers and technicians must disable Service Mode and return the generator to AUTO after service is complete or the generator will not start automatically.
