How to connect to a generator using Field Pro

Environment

This article applies to end users with the Field Pro app and a newer model generator with the Power Zone 200 controller.

Before you begin

 

Important: Installers and technicians must disable Service Mode and return the generator to AUTO after service is complete or the generator will not start automatically.

Connect via Bluetooth

  1. Tap Connect to a Generator Now.
    1. "Searching for nearby generators" will appear.
  2. If prompted, allow access to Bluetooth.
  3. Confirm the serial number and connect to the generator. Select your generator's serial number.
    1. "Connecting to the generator via Bluetooth" will appear.
  4. "Connected to Serial Number" will appear once the connection is established.
  5. If the generator is not in Service Mode, you will be prompted to enable it.
  6. Select the appropriate fuel type.
  7. You will be taken to the Generator Details dashboard. Tap Setup and configure generator to begin commissioning.
