Service mode message in Mobile Link
Service mode is a state that the generator can be placed in when performing maintenance. This is done by pressing the SERVICE button on the generator controller.
Environment
This message applies to Mobile Link users who have registered a generator with a PowerZone 200 controller. This message does not apply to Evolution 1, Evolution 2, or Nexus controllers which do not feature a SERVICE button.
What is service mode for?
- Service mode is a safety function that prevents remote start and stop functionality while service is being performed.
- While service mode is enabled, it also disables notifications in the Mobile Link app.
- Service mode does NOT change the current state (Auto, Off, Manual).
Is my home still protected while in service mode?
Yes, the generator will still provide backup power in the event of an outage as long as it is in AUTO mode.
How do I turn off service mode?
Before disabling service mode, check to confirm that nobody is performing service on the generator.
- Go outside to the generator.
- Unlock the generator with the key.
- Open the lid.
- Look to the right side for the control panel with four buttons.
- Push the SERVICE button.
What if I'm getting this message and my generator does not have a PowerZone 200 controller?
