"The generator has no LTE signal" message in Mobile Link 

Environment

Mobile Link Cellular devices: This article applies to both the discontinued 4G/LTE aftermarket accessory and the current Connectivity Cellular Accessory devices.

Mobile Link app: This error occurs in both the Mobile Link web and mobile apps.

Troubleshooting

  1. First, verify the antenna is upright and secured (4G/LTE shown in top image, Connectivity Cellular Accessory shown in bottom image).

 

2. Determine which lights are on the device, and if any of them indicate an error or issue that should be addressed: 

3. You may need to perform a hard reset depending on the LED status shown. See this article for more information: How do I hard reset or power cycle a Mobile Link device?

4. If all of these steps have been completed also know the cellular network could be down locally and we cannot rectify that. The carrier will have to resolve that issue on their end.
