To begin monitoring, create a Mobile Link account, add the generator, connect it through a supported Wi-Fi or cellular device, and select the Basic plan. Environment This article applies to compatible home standby generators with a supported Mobile Link connectivity device, including onboard Wi-Fi, an external Wi-Fi/Ethernet device, a 4G LTE device, or a Connectivity Cellular Accessory. Basic monitoring does not apply to stand-alone Generac fuel monitors. Generator and connectivity-device compatibility varies by controller and model. See the Mobile Link Wi-Fi, cellular, and LTE device compatibility guide before adding or replacing a connectivity device. Next Generation Series generators (2025–present): Generator status viewing is currently supported only through the Mobile Link mobile app for iOS or Android. The Mobile Link website can be used for account and subscription management, but it does not display generator status for Next Generation Series generators. Connectivity Cellular Accessory The Connectivity Cellular Accessory is an option for compatible generators that need cellular connectivity or experience ongoing Wi-Fi connectivity issues. It can use multiple carrier networks, and both Basic and Premium cellular plans are available for this device.
