A partial-home switch only protects specific circuits within the home instead of the entire home. Most current models of EZ switches will have a whip that contains wiring to connect the ATS (Automatic Transfer Switch) to the home's main panel, with the exception of the EXG16EZA3 which does not include any wiring or breakers. What are the diameters of the whips (conduit) on the pre-wired EZ switches? The 30 foot whip is 1 inch in diameter (only included with the RXG10EZA1 and the RXG16EZA1)The 5 foot whip is 1.25 inches in diameter (only included with the RXG10EZA1 and the RXG16EZA1)The 2 foot whip is 1.25 inches in diameter Do you need to connect the individual neutral wires on the pre-wired EZ switches? The neutral wires for both the EZ Switch and the Nexus Smart Switch will connect to the neutral bar in the main panel. The EZ Switch has individual neutral wires for each circuit breaker that can be connected to the neutral bar, however, local code may not require individual neutrals from the breakers to be connected, and we suggest checking with your local inspector to verify if this is necessary, and to discuss the best way to accomplish this for your particular set up. What brand breakers can go in the EZ Switches? Acceptable breaker brands and sizes will be listed on the spec sheet and in the installation/owner's manual. To locate a switch's owner's manual, use the product lookup page on Generac.com. See Also Can the branch circuit breakers be changed out on the EZ switches?
