Guide to activating Basic Mobile Link monitoring
Basic Mobile Link monitoring is available on home standby generators with all Mobile Link Monitoring devices. Activating basic monitoring is as easy as creating an account and connecting your generator to your home Wi-fi or local cellular network. While premium subscriptions are available and offer additional features, creating a Mobile Link account and monitoring your generator is a basic service provided by Generac.
Environment:
This article applies to home standby generators from 2018 to the present with a connected Mobile Link Device (onboard Wi-Fi, Wi-Fi ethernet, 4G LTE, Connectivity Cellular accessory/G3 device).

Step-by-Step guide
1. To get started, you can create a Mobile Link Account; for more information, please see How Do I Set up a Mobile Link Account?
2. Link Home Standby generator to account - Serial Number and device ID, please see How do I add a new generator to my Mobile Link account?
3. After linking your Mobile Link account with your generator, you will be prompted to select a subscription.
4. Select Basic account.
Note: You can manage your subscription plan at any time on the Mobile Link webpage through your internet browser at https://app.mobilelinkgen.com/
