Mobile Link account setup & device enrollment

Home standby generator owners can monitor their generators using the Mobile Link browser or mobile app. This article combines knowledge content from across our Help Center to guide end users through the complete setup process, including account creation and enrollment of fuel monitoring and home standby devices.

Mobile Link details

• A Mobile Link account is not required for the generator to operate.
• Homeowners should confirm a reliable Wi-Fi or Cellular connection at the generator before subscribing to a Mobile Link plan.
  • For Wi-Fi, use a dedicated 2.4 GHz network. Ensure your router supports 802.11 b/g/n protocols.

• Subscriptions and payments can be managed via the Mobile Link website or the mobile app.

Note: If working with a Generac service dealer, you may be eligible for a dealer-managed plan. Contact the dealer with any questions before subscribing to a paid plan, as refunds are not offered. For more details, see: What are the available Mobile Link subscription plans?

You can create an account via a web browser or mobile device. Account creation often takes place during generator installation. Devices can be added during or after the account setup process.

Select a plan in app.mobilelinkgen.com:

1. Click Subscribe after adding your device.
2. Select a subscription plan and click Continue.
3. For paid subscriptions, enter billing details and accept the terms.
4. Click Pay Now to complete the transaction.
5. A confirmation screen will display. Click Return to Dashboard to finish.

Note: If your generator uses propane, you may be prompted to add a tank monitor. This can be done later if preferred.

1. Tap your desired Subscription option.
2. Choose Subscribe to Premium or Continue with Basic.
3. Review and accept the subscription terms.
4. Check the I understand box and tap Continue.
5. Follow your device’s payment prompts (iOS or Android).
6. When complete, the "ALL SYSTEMS GO!" screen appears. Tap to return to the dashboard.
