Locating connectivity device information
The MAC address, SSID, and Wi-Fi connectivity device ID are used for both Generator and Mobile Link Account registrations. To set up a Mobile Link account and connect to your generator, see here: Full Mobile Link account setup and device enrollment process
Environment
This information applies to Generac home standby generators that are compatible with Mobile Link devices. To verify a generator's compatibility, reference the Which Generator Controllers Are Compatible with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or 4G LTE? article.
If you need to find the serial number for the generator itself, see here: Where Can I Find the Serial Number on My Air or Liquid-Cooled Standby Generator?
MAC address, Wi-Fi, and connectivity device ID
The location and availability of the MAC address, MLG SSID, and connectivity device ID will vary depending on the generator model, and the connectivity device in use.
Click here for Air cooled generators with onboard Wi-Fi (manufactured after 2018).
Click here to find this information on the connectivity device itself.
Note: For liquid cooled generators that are compatible with Wi-Fi, the MAC address and MLG SSID can only be found on the Mobile Link connectivity device itself. To determine if your liquid cooled generator is compatible with Wi-Fi, see here: Which generator controllers are compatible with Wi-Fi or LTE cellular Mobile Link connectivity devices?
Air cooled generators with onboard Wi-Fi
For air-cooled generators that feature onboard Wi-Fi installed at the factory, this information is located on behind the front panel on a label that is attached to the inside wall of the generator. For instructions on how to remove the front panel of the generator, see here: How do I remove the front panel on my home standby generator?

Connectivity Devices
G3 Connectivity Accessory
The device ID for the G3 Connectivity Accessory can be found on the backside of the device:

External LTE Cellular or Wi-Fi / Ethernet Devices
The serial number for the LTE or Wi-Fi/Ethernet devices can also be found on the backside of the device:

Locating Wi-Fi information on the generator controller
The setup SSID (MLG Network, see: What Is the MLG Network?) and home network SSID (if currently connected) can also be viewed on the generator's control panel display.
To view this information, use the screen to navigate to WIFI > arrow to SETUP SSID (6th option) to view the setup SSID, arrow WIFI SSID (8th option) to view the home network SSID (if connected).
No Wi-Fi menu on the controller
The generator may be too old, require a retrofit, or a special setup process. Reference the Why Am I Not Seeing A WIFI Menu on The Controller? article for more information.
No Wi-Fi or MAC address information is located on the generator
If the SSID and MAC address are not printed on the generator, confirm the generator is a model that is compatible with Wi-Fi. See the Which Generator Controllers Are Compatible with Wi-Fi, Ethernet, or 4G LTE? article for more information.
