How do I update my account information in Mobile Link?

You can update your Mobile Link account information from the Mobile Link app (iOS/Android) or on the Mobile Link website.

  1. Launch the Mobile Link app and sign in.
  2. Tap Account on the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Open your Account info (profile) details to view and update your information.

Mobile Link website (app.mobilelinkgen.com)

1. Open a web browser, go to and sign in at the Mobile Link website.

2. Click the account holder’s name (with the profile Profile icon icon) in the top-right corner and select Account Settings.

3. On Account Settings, select Account Information (or similar) to view and update your account details.

What you can update on the Account Info screen

On the Account Info (profile) screen, you can typically update:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Address

To update these items, open the Account Info screen, select Edit (or the pencil icon), make your changes, then Save.

Some account changes require additional steps (for example, changing your login email). Use the jump-to sections below for those updates.

Change your login email (username)

Your login email address is also your Mobile Link username. Updating it requires verifying the new email address with a code.

Using the Mobile Link iOS or Android app

  1. Launch the Mobile Link app.
  2. Tap Account on the bottom navigation bar.
  3. Tap Username (email address).
  4. If prompted, enter your password.
  5. Enter the new email address.
  6. Log in to the new email inbox and retrieve the verification code.
  7. Tap Next. Your request will be processed.
  8. When processing completes, you’ll return to the Account screen. Swipe down to refresh and confirm that the new email address is listed.

Using app.mobilelinkgen.com (web)

1. Open a web browser, go to and sign in at the Mobile Link website.

2. Click the generator owner’s name (with the profile Profile icon icon) in the top-right corner and select Account Settings.

3. Click Update account email.

4. Enter the new email address, then click Send verification code.

5. Check your new email inbox and retrieve the code. If you don’t see it, check your spam/junk folder and verify the address you entered is correct.

6. Return to the Mobile Link website and enter the code in the Verification code field. Click Verify code.

7. Click Next to continue.

Note: If you see the error “The claims to verify have been changed,” the email address you’re verifying does not match the address entered previously. Make sure the email addresses match exactly.

8. The request will process—please wait while the system updates your account.

9. When complete, return to Account Settings and confirm the new email address appears.

Having issues verifying your email?

If you’re retrieving a verification code on the same phone where the Mobile Link app is open, avoid fully closing the app—minimize it so you can return after opening your email.

Minimize the app on Android

  1. Press the Home button.
  2. Open your email app and copy the code.
  3. Tap the Recents/Overview button (three-line or square icon).
  4. Find and re-open the Mobile Link app.
  5. Enter the verification code.

Minimize the app on iPhone (iOS)

  1. Press the Home button (or swipe up from the bottom if your iPhone doesn’t have a Home button).
  2. Open your email app and copy the code.
  3. Swipe up from the bottom and pause to view open apps.
  4. Find and tap the Mobile Link app to return.
  5. Enter the verification code.

Additional tips

  • If possible, use a second device—one for the Mobile Link app and another to open your email and retrieve the code.

Change or reset your password

Change your preferred dealer

You can select or remove a preferred dealer in Mobile Link unless your subscription is dealer-managed (dealer-managed plans may prevent editing/removing the preferred dealer).

Add additional contacts (additional email addresses)

If you want additional people to receive certain communications, add them as additional contacts.

Update billing / payment information

Note: If you signed up for Mobile Link billing as an in-app purchase, billing information can only be updated through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.
