Mobile Link notifications not received on mobile device
Some users report that they are not receiving push notifications after having enabled notifications on their Mobile Link account.
Environment
This article applies to users of supported Android and iOS devices that are using the Mobile Link app. See supported versions here: Why Am I Seeing a "Device Not Compatible" Error When Attempting to Install the Mobile Link App? If the operating system is older, then Mobile Link and push notifications will not work. Users can still operate/view their accounts on the website: https://app.mobilelinkgen.com/
Common Causes
- Notifications have not been enabled in the Mobile Link app.
- The user's phone has not authorized push notifications for the Mobile Link app.
- The operating system on the mobile device is too old for the Mobile Link app.
- Users are sharing a device with separate Mobile Link accounts.
Troubleshooting
1. Make sure notifications have been enabled within the app. See the How Do I Set Up Notifications in Mobile Link? article for more information.
2. Confirm your plan allows the types of notifications you were expecting to receive. Immediate notifications are available only with paid subscriptions: What are the available Mobile Link subscription plans?
3. Verify the device has been authorized to send push notifications from Mobile Link. See the Allowing Mobile Link Location and Notifications permissions in Android and iOS article for more information.
4. Disable Remove permissions if app is unused in app settings (Android only).

5. Verify the mobile device is running a supported operating system for the Mobile App: Why Am I Seeing a "Device Not Compatible" Error When Attempting to Install the Mobile Link App?
6. Uninstall and reinstall the app, for iPhone users, this should send a registration to Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) to send a push notification. When reinstalling, make sure you allow the app to send notifications and allow location permissions. This prompt will only happen the first time you use the app.
7. If the phone is shared, make sure you are not using a single device to log into separate Mobile Link accounts.
