Generator Notifications Not Received
Mobile Link subscribers have the ability to control how and when generator notifications are sent. Users may report that they do not receive notifications for exercises and status history does not represent recent power outages.
Environment
This issue occurs with Generac home standby generators that are linked to a Mobile Link account. Note that some notifications features require an active (paid) subscription. For a comparison of features in each plan, see: What are the available Mobile Link subscription plans?
Troubleshooting
Please verify that notification preferences have been configured as desired.
1. Spam Folder: You will need to locate the email that was marked as spam mark it as "not spam" and add "noreply@MobileLinkGen.com" to the safe sender's list and/or contacts. If you are not able to locate that email, you can try working with your email domain to see if they can assist you or update your account to a new email address.
2. Check subscription: Confirm your plan allows the types of notifications you were expecting to receive. Immediate notifications are available only with paid subscriptions: What are the available Mobile Link subscription plans?
3. Set up Notifications in the App: Make sure you have the notifications for email or text turned on in the Mobile Link account. See the How Do I Set Up Notifications in Mobile Link? article.
4. Allow Notifications: Make sure your device allows Mobile Link to send notifications: Allowing Mobile Link Location and Notifications permissions in Android and iOS
5. Disable Remove permissions if app is unused in app settings (Android only).

6. Finish Creating the Account: End users should ensure they have finished creating their Mobile Link account. See the How Do I Set up a Mobile Link Account and Enroll Devices for Monitoring? article.
7. Resume Paused Texts: If text messages are not being received, end users can send a text with the message "unstop" to 877-590-6565.
8. Confirm Network Signal: Communicating status messages requires a sufficient network connection from the Mobile Link device to the owner's network. Connection quality can be confirmed by checking the signal strength. Reference these articles:
